Grill Area & Garden Walls with Bluestone Caps

Nashkov Group Construction LLC installed block walls and Bluestone caps in this home’s grill area and garden. Textured gray blockwork forms a divider beside the covered grill pad and a lower border along the planting bed, with stone caps bringing the exposed top edges together.

Stage 01

The grill area and garden before the work

The original views show the covered concrete grill pad and the garden bed beside the paver path. These areas provided the setting for new blockwork and stone caps.

At the grill pad, the open sides and lattice screen define the work area. In the garden, the planting bed meets the edge of the path without the finished block border shown in the later photograph.

Stage 02

Installing the block walls around the grill area

Textured gray blocks were installed to form a raised divider along one side of the grill area. A lower block edge runs beneath the lattice screen on the other side of the covered pad.

The closer views show the block faces, corner returns and the position of the walls around the grill space. Flat stone caps finish the exposed horizontal tops.

Stage 03

Bluestone caps and the finished garden border

Bluestone cap pieces were fitted along the top of the blockwork, giving the walls defined horizontal edges. The gray stone finish coordinates the raised grill-area divider with the lower borders.

Along the garden bed, a low block wall with a Bluestone cap creates a clear edge beside the paver path. The overall views show the completed blockwork and capped finishes in both outdoor areas.
