A new mosaic floor & a renewed shower base

Shower Pan Renovation

Nashkov Group Construction LLC renovated the pan in this existing tiled shower. The old base was removed, the lower wall sections were opened, and the pan area was prepared for a new tiled finish. Light hexagonal mosaic, a square drain grate and a matching beige curb bring the renewed base together with the surrounding shower tile.

The work, step by step

Follow the original pan, the opened floor and lower walls, base preparation and the finished tilework. Select a photograph to view the full image, then browse with the arrows, keyboard or a swipe.

Stage 01

The original shower and pan

The starting shower had a pale molded base, a raised front edge and a gold-colored glass enclosure. Beige wall tiles and corner shelves defined the shower above the pan.

The initial views show the original enclosure and then the pan with the enclosure removed, establishing the reference for the replacement base.

Stage 02

Removing the old base and opening the lower walls

The old shower pan was removed, and the lower wall sections around it were opened. The photographs show the exposed floor and drain opening from two angles.

This opened the base area for the rebuilding work while the upper tiled walls remained in place.

Stage 03

Preparing the new shower base

The shower-base area was rebuilt and prepared for tile. The preparation views show the pan surface, drain opening and lower-wall transitions before the finished covering.

The front edge and wall-to-floor areas were part of this preparation, connecting the new pan with the surrounding shower surfaces.

Stage 04

Finishing the mosaic floor and curb

Light hexagonal mosaic tile was installed across the shower floor, with a square drain grate set within the layout. The curb received a beige finish that coordinates with the tiled walls.

The final views show the renovated shower base and the completed lower-wall tile details. A wider view connects the pan with the rest of the existing shower, while the close-up shows the mosaic, drain and finished threshold.
