A finishing detail for a brick garden feature

Stone Cap Installation on Brick Pillars

Nashkov Group Construction LLC installed stone cap sections on an existing brick garden pillar beside the front walkway. The pale gray stone frames the planting opening and gives the top of the brickwork a neat, continuous border.

Stage 01

The exposed brick top

The earlier photograph shows the top of the brick garden pillar without a continuous cap. The brick edge is exposed around the central planting opening, and old stone pieces lie on the ground beside the pillar.

This view provides the starting reference for the stone installation at the top of the existing brickwork.

Stage 02

Fitting the stone cap sections

Stone cap sections were installed around the square perimeter of the pillar. Each section forms part of the border around the planting opening, with joints where the pieces meet at the corners.

The pale gray stone creates a defined top edge above the brick faces. The installation view shows the fitted sections and the slight projection of the stone beyond the brickwork.

Stage 03

The finished garden pillar

The finished view shows a continuous stone border around the planted center. The cap brings a coordinated gray finish to the top of the brick feature beside the front walkway.

From the path, the stone edge frames the planting opening and gives the existing garden pillar a more complete appearance.
